iOS · Android · Store release · Care
iGears builds iOS and Android apps for organisations, churches, schools and businesses in Hong Kong, connected to memberships, bookings, notifications and your existing systems. After launch we update each app for Apple's and Google's yearly requirements, reducing the risk that it can no longer be updated.
Requirements and quote, interface design and prototype, iOS and Android development, backend and system integration, testing, store release, care and updates
We first understand users, features and connected systems, then provide a written quotation and schedule. We demonstrate progress in stages and move to App Care after release.
We recommend opening Apple and Google developer accounts in your organisation's own name. iGears helps with registration, release and management; the contract sets out the arrangements.
Membership cards, event registration and push notifications
Bookings, reminders and service records
Gathering and event information, giving or donation links and notifications
Staff notices, forms and approvals, connected to internal systems
We take over apps built by other companies: first review the source code, store accounts and current release requirements, then plan updates or a rebuild
Apple and Google update their store requirements every year: Google Play's target API level and 16 KB memory page support, for example, and Apple's minimum Xcode version. An app that misses the target API requirement can no longer publish updates, and new users on newer Android devices may not be able to find or install it.
